THE TEAM

Artistic Director of the Raikes Consort, Jamie Conway is an undergraduate student reading music at Robinson College, Cambridge, and sings with the Choir of St John's College. Jamie regularly conducts choirs and orchestras in Cambridge and is the permanent conductor for the conservatoire and university student ensemble East London Symphony Orchestra.

Second year music student at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, Sophie Westbrooke is Manager and regular player of the orchestra, as well as Social Media Officer. Sophie is a skilled violinist, violist, and recorder player, having won the Woodwind Category Final of the 2014 BBC Young Musician competition. Outside of Cambridge she performs, amongst others, with the Parandrus Recorder Trio.

Music student at Robinson College, Cambridge, Tom Moy is Tour Director for the Raikes Consort, as well as assistant conductor and singer in the choir. After successfully organising the choir's first tour abroad in the summer of 2018, he plans to take the singers and the players to Florence, Italy in 2019 for a festival of recitals, Christian services and opera.

Production Manager Lucy Roberts is a music undergraduate at Jesus College, Cambridge, and frequently produces and organises operas and concerts. Known amongst friends as the one who "makes operas happen", she is also a cellist, double bassist and bass guitarist, frequently appearing in orchestras, pit bands and function bands. She avidly attends as many Proms as possible each year.

Music undergraduate student at Royal Holloway, Christopher Willoughby is a former choral scholar of Lincoln Cathedral. He was a scholar with Voces8 and is on the Genesis Sixteen programme 2018-9, and sings with the choir of the Raikes Consort.

The Raikes Consort is honoured by the generous support of Fr William and his commitment to supporting youth music, therefore we would like to recognise this and thank him. Fr William was a military chaplain before becoming chaplain of St Mark's English Church, Florence where he encourages the student choir and works with a paid student Choirmaster.
