THE PLAYERS

The orchestra of the Raikes Consort is formed of instrumentalists from the University of Cambridge with a passion for chamber playing and collaboration. The orchestra performs both in its own right and with the choir of the consort. Exciting future engagements include a concert with consort member, recorder player and BBC Young Musician finalist Sophie Westbrooke in two of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos and a new recorder concerto written by artistic director Jamie Conway. The orchestra will accompany the Cambridge University Opera Society's (CUOS) Michaelmas Show Il signor Bruschino (Rossini) and looks forward to a second opera in the coming academic year.
